The SJPDS Green Team is looking for motivated students to make their school a greener place! Help us come up with creative ways to be eco-friendly, implement community efforts, and reduce our footprint, one idea at a time! We are accepting students from K-5. Meetings will be the first Monday of every month beginning on October 6th at 3:45 p.m. in the Art Room.

Calling all kindergarten and first-grade actors and actresses! We are looking for enthusiastic ensemble members to join our musical Willy Wonka Kids! Ensemble students will take on a variety of fun roles throughout the show. 

All interested students will be automatically placed on a waitlist, and cast selections will be made based on the needs of the production.

 Each week, students will dive into hands-on projects that blend creativity with real-world skills. Participants will learn sewing machine basics while fabricating a doughnut pillow, needlepoint plant pots, and embroider their very own t-shirt.   

Whether your child is new to making or already loves DIY, they’ll gain confidence in their abilities, learn new techniques, and most importantly, have fun while creating!

Have you ever wondered how arctic animals stay warm in the snow? Or why it snows in the winter? If so, join Ms. Thomas and Mrs. Bates for hands-on investigations all about winter! We will explore ice/snow and winter weather, arctic animals, and other cold things! We will also have some creative crafting time to make our own snowflakes and snowmen to take home!

The Kindness Club fosters empathy, compassion, and essential skills that children will carry with them for life. It provides a safe, structured setting to explore the power of compassion and the true meaning of friendship. Our club is a team of superheroes who spread kindness and positive vibes at school. They come up with fun ideas like leaving surprise notes in library books, helping people out, or doing acts of kindness in the community. It’s a club where kids learn to be extra nice and make the world a better place, one good deed at a time!

Join us as we embark on our third musical at St. John’s! Students in second (2nd) through fifth (5th) are invited to join us in performing Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS. Students will learn the basics of acting, singing, and dancing. Participation is limited to 30 students.   

Kindergarten and first-grade students will be invited to join the club in January, so be on the lookout! All students will participate in our performance on March 21, 2026.
