Volunteer Opportunities

WE NEED YOUR TIME AND TALENT! Join us for a Gala Decorating Party as we wrap things up with just days until the big event or bring home a small project. The greatest needs are a team to help set up and decorate on Friday, 4/20 at 5 p.m. and also help the night of the event. See the Sign Up Geniuses to RSVP or just drop by! Even 1 hour of your time makes a difference!

Flashback to the 80's, this year's big event is coming up quickly! We appreciate any and all support to prepare for this exciting evening. There are many ways to help whether you have just an hour or many hours to give. Please see our current volunteer needs below and contact Lisa Hermodsson if there is something you are available to assist with.

Prior to the Event

Committees

Auction- (in person and from home) Our amazing Auction Committee needs help soliciting donations from area businesses, filling out online donation forms, picking up items that have been donated, contacting school families directly for donations, writing up package descriptions, putting together baskets as they are completed, and more. Any level of help is appreciated.

Decorating Committee- (in person- afternoon and/or evening decorating parties or some from home) Help create some totally awesome decoration pieces. From Pac-Man to Rubik Cubes, if you can cut, measure, or glue we have a project for you. Party schedule will be posted soon, this is a great way to meet other parents and alumni. We have fun at these parties so grab your friends and make a night of it!

Entertainment- (in person or from home) We have some rad entertainment planned for the night of the event but need people to execute these fun ideas or help choose new ones. An 80's trivia game (hello Pinterest), a battle of the boy bands (with current and former SJPDS dads) and much more need a creative team to make them happen.

Food and Beverage- (in person) Collect water, soda, beer and wine donations from families as well as liquor stores, vineyards, and breweries.

Marketing- (in person or from home) Help to get the word out about this event through with social media, press releases, room parents, Thursday folders, create the program for the event, even keeping the bulletin board updated each week would be a big help!

Miscellaneous- There is always something needing done. Stuff envelopes, put stickers on name tags, pick up something from the printers, etc.

Interested in being a sponsor for the event? We are currently looking for families or businesses to sponsor the dessert table, signature bar, photo booth, bars, and more. Contact Lisa Hermodsson for more information.
