First Lower School Alumni Class

A look at what our very first Lower School graduating class is up to!

Our very first Lower School class graduated from St. John's in 2007! We are so proud of them and wish them the best as they go on to their next life journey. Here's a glimpse of what a few of them are up to. Click here to share your alumni stories with us.
 
Michael Bentivenga graduates from Marriotts Ridge HS where he represented MRHS at the MPSSAA Student Athlete Leadership Conference, received the Scholar Athlete Award, and was Team Leader of the Project Lead the Way group which represented MRHS in a countywide competition of STEM projects. He also participated in Varsity football, wrestling, and track, the Robotics Club and Men's Choir. Michael was in the first SJPDS LS graduating class. He is a member of St. Louis Church where he is a mentor for Christian Youth Ministries and Confirmation Retreat, and a VBS Counselor. Michael plans to complete prerequisite work at HCC and UMBC (where he plans to wrestle) and work as an Engineering Apprentice and Athletic Referee. He is considering options in the area of Bio-Medical Engineering as well as Sports Medicine/Management.

 
Kieran Calambro graduates from Marriotts Ridge HS where he played lacrosse for four years and track for one year. He enjoys all sports. Kieran attends St. John's Episcopal Church with his parents and was confirmed in 2012. He attended the SJPDS EC program and was in the first SJPDS LS graduating class. At St. John's, Kieran participated in the journey to Adulthood program, Breakfast Club through YAC, Pilgrimage to Scotland in 2012, Discovery Weekend Mentor, and Sower Mission Trip to Ohio in 2013. Kieran is a valued member of the SJPDS After Care staff. He plans to attend James Madison University where he will study business.
 
 
 
 
 

 
Sarah Stackhouse graduates from Culver Academies/Culver Girls Academy. At Culver, she received a Gold A, Silver A, 11th grade Full Seconds Academic Privilege and in 2013 received 3rd place as coxswain for the Men's 4+ rowing team, swimming sectional finalist in four events in 2014 and swim varsity co-captain this year. She also enjoys rollercoasters, being with friends and family. Sarah attended SJPDS EC program and was in the first SJPDS LS graduating class. She and her family attended St. John's where she was a lay Eucharistic minister in ASH and a VBS counselor. Sarah participated in youth group at St. John's and at Culver Academy and was confirmed at Culver. Sarah is looking forward to returning to England and will take a post-grad year to St. Teresa's Effingham in Surrey, UK. In the fall of 2015, she will attend Sewanee University of the South, where she plans to study math and writing.
 
 
 
 

Alex Fitzgerald graduates from Billings Central Catholic HS in MT where he was All-State Track and Field 2011-14, Football Conf. Champions 2010, 11, 13, Football State Champion 2012, and participated in Math Club, Ski Club, and Free-Style Ski Team at Red Lodge Mtn. He is an avid skier, loves the backcountry, plays guitar and piano, and enjoys the Baltimore Ravens, travel, reading, music and chess. He especially loves and misses his friend Kieran! Alex attended St. John's Episcopal Church for 11 years with his family, the SJPDS EC program and was in the first SJPDS LS graduating class. He currently attends St. Stephen's Episcopal Church where he was confirmed in 2010 and participates in youth group. Alex will attend Colorado State University where he will study Construction Management and Finance.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Marguerite Madden graduates from Glenelg Country School where she participated in volleyball and triathlons, received the Community Service Award for 2012-13, and was voted "Best Person to Bring Home to Mom and Dad" in 2014. She also enjoys writing, running, and traveling. Marguerite was baptized at St. John's Episcopal Church, attends worship services with her parents, and was confirmed in 2012. At St. John's, Marguerite attended the SJPDS EC program, was in the first SJPDS LS graduating class, participated in the junior choir, and youth group, was a VBS counselor, In Discovery Weekend, and volunteered at the Route 1 Homeless Shelter. She was part of the 2012 Iona Pilgrimage. Marguerite plans to attend Duquesne University, where she received an academic scholarship and plans to study business communications, political science, and a liberal arts curriculum.
