Episcopal Schools Celebration Week
When
10/6/2021

October marks the time that Episcopal schools across the country hold special school chapels and parish worship services to celebrate the joy of community and mission that exists in the Episcopal school community.

We will begin Episcopal Schools Week (Oct.3-9) with an Episcopal Schools Celebration Sunday at our very own St. John’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 3rd. SJPDS families are invited to attend a service in All Saints Hall at 9 AM or Historic Church at 10:30 AM for a celebratory morning of worship and learning. Stuart Work, SJPDS Board of Trustees Vice-Chair, will deliver the homily. Lori Dembo, our Head of School, will join him to present the highlights of our wonderful program and the benefits of an Episcopal education.

The Mid-Atlantic Episcopal Schools Association (MAESA - Of which, Ms. Dembo is a Governing Board Member) Episcopal School Celebration worship service on Wednesday, October 6th at 10:00 AM. This will be a virtual service streamed from Washington National Cathedral and hosted with Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School. Our 4th and 5th-grade students will attend the virtual service from their classrooms joining other Episcopal Schools across the nation. We invite our community to tune in live at 10:00 AM.
