When

Spirit Week: January 25th-29th

During Spirit Week we celebrate the Five Gifts of St. John’s that are symbolized on our school logo and partnership with Kenya. Each day of the week students may wear the school spirit color of the day or school spirit wear. Lower School students can wear P.E. bottoms or jeans. Each day, teachers will play a video (Part of Morning Meeting) that will help to explain each part of the logo. At some point during each day, each student will decorate the symbol for the day. We will then use each students symbol to create one colloborative large logo. Students can color/decorate and/or write on the logo piece what it means to them or how they plan on living out its message.

Monday/Green: The leaf symbolizes, “the development of confident, independent thinkers, people of character, and respectful citizens connected to our local and global communities.”

Tuesday/Red: The heart symbolizes “a loving, caring, supportive environment where childhood is preserved and celebrated.”

Wednesday/White: The cross symbolizes “spiritual growth through faith formation grounded in the Christian tradition.”

Thursday/Brown: The acorn symbolizes “wonder and possibility; where opportunities for discovery abound.”

Friday/Yellow: The flame symbolizes “innovative curriculum and teachers who know and serve each student as they grow academically, socially and spiritually.”

**Students can choose to wear Yellow or Blue on the day that they will be Walking for Wamunyu**
