SJPDS Blessing of the Animals

All school students, families and their pets are invited for a special animal blessing in honor of the Feast of St. Francis. Bring your fine, feathered or furry friends (on leashes or in cages please) for a meet and greet and prayers in celebration of all of God’s creatures. Have an anxious animal or one with poor party manners? Leave them at home and bring their photograph instead. A favorite stuffed animal is welcome for a blessing also. Please consider bringing a donation of pet food or blankets for the Howard County Animal Control adoption center.

Can't make it? There's another event on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 PM on the Rose Hill Field.
Bring your pet to be blessed at this outside worship. The service begins at 1 PM on the Rose Hill field. St. John’s Rite-13 youth group (7th & 8th graders) will host this FREE event. Donations will be accepted on behalf of Hurricane Pet Relocation and Hurricane Dorian Relief efforts. Pets will receive a special certificate once they are blessed. We ask that all pets be on a leash or in a crate/cage.
