This parent-child event is designed to assist 5th and 4th-grade families in navigating the process of applying to middle school. Lori Dembo, Head of School, will introduce a panel of private school admission directors. These middle school admission directors will provide a quick overview of their middle school. After introductions, students and parents are invited to ask questions of the panel.
Middle Schools that will be represented include: Chapelgate Christian Academy, Garrison Forest School, Glenelg Country Day School, McDonogh, The Park School, St. Paul’s School for Boys/Girls and Trinity School.
Afterward, current 5th & 4th-grade students and their parents will hear directly from SJPDS alumni, representing a variety of public and private schools. Alumni will share their middle school experiences along with tips for making an easy transition to middle school.
