The Board of Trustees functions primarily to identify and fulfill the mission of the school, to plan for its needs, to develop policy and to select and support the Head of School. Trustees are volunteers who offer St. John’s sound judgment, professional expertise, practical skills, and donations. The Board is responsible for setting broad institutional policies that support and advance the school’s mission. In addition, Board members actively promote the school in the broader community. Trustees do not get involved in day-to-day school operations, entrusting supervision of these matters to the Headmaster.
