Mrs. McGowan is pleased to be a member of the St. John's Parish Day School Board of Trustees. She is the mother of two St. John's students (a preschooler and a third grader) and is passionate about education. Megan attended Penn State University where she earned her B.S. in Special Education. She then joined the Jemicy School faculty in 1995 where she is beginning her eighth year as Head of Lower School and her 15th year as an independent school educator. In addition, Megan holds a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Maryland College (McDaniel College). She is Orton-Gillingham trained and has additional training in a variety of other Orton-Gillingham based programs. In her free time she enjoys traveling and cooking.
