Student Council

At St. John's leadership abilities are cultivated and developed in all students, but some Lower School students have an equal opportunity to shine by running for a Student Council office and participating in class elections. Executive office positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Safety Patrol. Children who wish to run for an executive office position will create an election campaign and present a short speech to the St. John's; faculty and students as to why they are the best candidate for the position.  Those elected help to plan events and see that student voices are heard on campus.

Violin

St.violin at st. johns John's students in Fourth and Fifth Grade attend weekly violin classes. Violin students perform at several events on campus including, Christmas Program, Spring Program, Graduation. Students are required to each have their own violin for class and for home use. Violins may be rented or purchased. Uniform Policy

All students enrolled in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade at St. John's Parish Day School are required to where the school uniform unless otherwise notified by the school administration. The intent of uniform is to reduce distractions during the academic portion of your day. The complete uniform policy is located in the Parent Handbook (link to handbook).

Items Not Permitted at School

Children are not permitted to bring items to school that would cause undue distraction during the school day or potentially cause harm to anyone. These items include but are not limited to:;

  • Silly Bands

  • Bakugan

  • Computers/DS/iPods/cell phones

  • Guns (including toy), ammunition, or knives
