AIMS Accredited

St. John's Parish Day School (SJPDS) is proudly accredited as an Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS) institution. Independent schools, like SJPDS, are rooted in the idea of choice. Parents can choose a school with the educational philosophy and passion that best fits their family's needs and values. While AIMS-member schools are diverse, they have certain characteristics in common.

"Each fosters a culture of learning, not only in the classrooms and laboratories, but in every area of school life - on playing fields, stages, in music practice rooms and art studios." --- AIMS

Proud Member of National Association of Episcopal Schools

SJPDS, similar to other Episcopal schools, is attended by children from a variety of different religious, cultural and economic backgrounds. SJPDS, as in all sister Episcopal schools, exists not just to educate, but to demonstrate the uniqueness of all people as creations of God through common guiding principles. Weaving the principles of school worship, community life, faith formation and social justice into the very fabric of the school's overall life. Episcopal schools ensure that their missions are built on the sure foundation of a Christian love that guides and challenges all who attend to build lives of genuine meaning, purpose and service in the world they will inherit.

"Episcopal schools have been established as ecumenical and diverse ministries of educational and human formation for people of all faiths and backgrounds."
