St. John's Parish Day School has been educating children age 3 through Grade 5 in the Episcopal tradition for almost 60 years.

  • Early Childhood Programs: Full and partial-day programs for three and four-year-olds

  • Transitional Kindergarten (TK): serving children who have completed a four-year-old program but need the gift of time to thrive in Kindergarten

  • Lower School: Serving Kindergarten through Grade 5

  • Before and After Care: Available 7:00 AM until school starts and after school until 6:00 PM daily

  • After-School Enrichment Classes: Various programs are offered throughout the year to enhance our student experiences

  • Early Childhood Specialist Classes: Art, Media, Music, Physical Education, Spanish and STEM

  • Lower School Specialist Classes: Art, Information Literacy, Physical Education, STEM, Spanish, Music, and Instrumental Music (Grades 3, 4, & 5)

  • Campus Size: 14+ acres, one main school building, a beautiful Historic Church, two playgrounds, two fields, an outdoor classroom, and Parish Life Center

  • Religious Representation: Families identify with over 15 different religions with an average of 40% diversity yearly.

  • Teaching Assistants: All classes Age 3 - Transitional Kindergarten, shared assistant teacher in Kindergarten

  • Hot Lunch: Available by Yay Lunch, a nutritious school lunch delivery service

  • Standardized Tests: Educational Record Bureau (ERBs) Grades 1-5; SJPDS Lower School students, on average, have scored at or above suburban and independent school norms in every subject

  • Accreditation: Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS) and Non-Public School Certified, members of NAIS, NAES, and MAESA

  • Maryland Green School: Since 2000, recognized and certified by the State of Maryland for our recycling programs, integration of environmental instruction into our studies, and extending our learning and commitment to green stewardship in the community. Re-certified in 2020 as a lifelong certified Green School
