St. John’s provides financial assistance for well-qualified students; in both Early Childhood and Lower School whose families cannot afford an independent school education without financial help. To be considered for financial aid,
families must complete and submit an enrollment application and pay the enrollment fee for new students or must have submitted a re-enrollment contract and deposit for returning students. Parents must then complete the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) from School and Student Service (SSS), a service from the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
You may begin to apply for financial assistance for 2012-2013 starting on November 1, 2011. Visit the SSS website to obtain the Parents Financial Statement (PFS). To learn more about the financial aid process, visit the website for the SSS Family Guide to Financial Aid. The PFS can be completed online, and the results will be sent directly to St. John’s. To be eligible for consideration for financial aid at St. John's Parish Day School, you must complete your application by January 15 for the following year. Deadlines are important in order for award notifications to be delivered to families in a timely fashion for enrollment decisions. Please note: This year, Financial Aid awarded by the school will not be applied to student accounts until supporting 2011 tax forms are submitted to SSS. Late applicants will generally not receive consideration. For more information on financial aid see the family guide on financial aid. To discuss financial aid, email Mrs. Meg Same, Business Manager, or call her at 410-465-7644 x126.
Rose Window Legacy Grants
The Rose Window Legacy Grant was created to encourage St. John's Episcopal Church parish families with children in kindergarten to enroll in St. John’s Parish Day School. Five Rose Window L
egacy Grants are available for five families annually. The initial amount of these grants shall be $3,000 per child per year. Grants may be awarded to parish families who are active members of the church, as demonstrated by faithful attendance, a sustaining pledge and service. This grant supports the educational mission of our parish and school. This special opportunity for parish members opens possibilities for a wonderful education for your child in a nurturing, spiritual and diverse community. The school is part of the mission of our parish. Each school day, the wonderful community we all love on Sunday lives in the classrooms, fields and chapel of our Parish Day School. Interested families may contact the Church Office to speak with The Rev. Carol Pinkham Oak and have their interest forwarded to the Rose Window Legacy Grants Committee. Please call: 410-461-7793 or e-mail The Rev. Carol Pinkham Oak at cpoak@stjohnsec.org .
