For New Families

Applying to the Early Childhood Program is an easy process.  Get started with a visit to our school!

Open House Information

Parents are encouraged to attend an Early Childhood Open House on January 11 or 24, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.  Parents will visit classrooms, tour the school, and have the opportunity to chat with the Director and current parents.  Admission materials and information will be available.  For additional information, please contact Mrs. Jane Tolen, Director of Admissions via email or by phone at 410-465-7644 x287.

How to Apply

Early Childhood Applications for children entering St. John's for the first time (including siblings of current or former students) will be available by October 15, either by request, on the website, or at Open House.  For families applying for financial assistance, information must be submitted to School and Student Services prior to January 15, 2012.    

Please note that priority consideration is given to siblings of current students (in Early Childhood and Lower School), parishioners of St. John’s Episcopal Church, former families, and legacy students.

Applications are due by February 10, 2012, accompanied by a $50 application fee. Confirmation of program placement will be sent February 17, 2012. To guarantee their child’s program placement, parents must return their contract and tuition deposit ($400, applicable to tuition) by February 24, 2012.

For Current Families

Re-enrollment Process

  • Families of children enrolled in a Three-Year-Old program will receive a Re-Enrollment Form in early January.   Parents indicate their program preference and return the form(no fee required) by January 30, 2012. 
  • Families applying for financial assistance, must submit their information to School and Student Services prior to January 15, 2012.
  • Families with children enrolled in a Four-Year-Old program and considering Transitional Kindergarten may request a Re-enrollment Form.  
  • Contracts indicating confirmation of program placement will be mailed by February 3, 2012. 
  • To guarantee your child's program placement, parents must return the contract and tuition deposit ($400, applicable to tuition) by February, 13, 2012.
