How To Apply

St. John’s Parish Day School admits students of any religion, race, color, racial or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available at the school

We best accommodate children who are academically motivated and able to thrive in an environment designed to stimulate their quest for knowledge

Or primary intent in the admissions process is to provide you with information about our school, while learning as much as possible about your child

  • Attend an Open House
Held in October and November or tour our school
  • Submit the completed application for and fee
Must be received by January 12, 2008
  • Evaluation Form & Transcript Request
Provide the current teacher with the evaluation form and request transcripts be sent to St. John’s
  • Send a transcript

FAQ

Does St. John's Award Financial Aid?

St. John’s provides need-based financial aid to our families. In order to be considered for financial aid, families must complete the School and Student Service for Financial Aid form. This can be done by visiting http://www.nais.org/financialaid/sss to learn about the process and to get the Parents Financial Statement (PFS). Completing the PFS can be done on-line and the results will be sent directly to St. John’s. We encourage all families to apply by January 12, 2009. What is the Preschool Registration/Admission Process?

Students apply to the Preschool through a tiered registration process articulated below. There is priority registration for returning students, children of St. John’s Parish members, siblings of returning students, and siblings of returning students or children of former students. The remaining spaces are then open through a lottery system. On the day of registration, you will be informed if you have received preferred choice of program. If your first choice is filled, you have the option of selecting an open program and be placed on a wait list for your preferred program. Priority Registration Registration for Preschool is done by groups in the following order on the following day.: Group 1 Monday, February 2, 2009-8:00 AM Returning Students Priority registration for the 2009-2010 year is extended to students who are currently enrolled at St. Johns Parish Day School. Group 2 Tuesday, February 3, 2009-8:00 AM Children of St. John’s Parish Members and siblings of returning students. Parish members in good standing are eligible for priority registration and a parish discount. Group 3 Wednesday, February 3, 2009-8:00 AM Siblings of non-returning students and/or former students, as well as, children of former students (proof must be provided). On the day of registration, you will be informed if you have received preferred choice of program. If your first choice is filled, you have the option of selecting an open program and be placed on a wait list for your preferred program. Open Registration Process New families to St. Johns Parish Day School (Non-Parishioners) Because of the limited spaces available during Open Registration and to make the process as fair as possible to all interested families, Open Registration is done by random drawing. Each family may submit one card to be drawn. As cards are drawn each is assigned a registration number. This number only represents the order in which parents may register their child(ren), it does not guarantee space in the Preschool program. To participate in the Open Registration process please clearly print on one postcard or index card the following: • Child’s/Children’s Name • Birth date(s) including year • Family Address • Contact Phone (with voicemail) Please note: Only one card will be accepted per family. If applicable, please include all children on the same card. Open Registration, Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 9:00am
